Infestation

I haven't posted anything food-related in a week. I haven't forgotten about this blog. I just haven't really cooked anything. It's been 6 months since I lost my job, and it getting more and more depressing each day. I just can't catch a break. The only people who seem to respond to my job queries, are scammers.

To make matters worse, last night I found bedbugs in my bed. We've had them for at least 2 months now, but we didn't know what it really was. My mom has been getting bites this whole time yet we could never find the source. And last night I found it. Big, fat, nasty things full of my blood.

We got rid of two couches, washed our bedding sets, sprayed our mattresses with anti-bed bug solution, and covered them in vinyl covers. There is so much more that needs to be done about this, and it's overwhelming. The pest control company basically wants us to remove everything from the apartment in order to come here and do their thing. Sure thing, only where the hell will he put all this stuff?

We should really move out from here, but NY is so damn expensive, it's imposible to find a decent apartment within our budget.

And that's what's been happening lately.

  2. I seem to have a chronic kidney stone problem, so I really need to do this. There's just so much great, delicious stuff I love (lattes and chocolate), which I can't have because of high oxalate count. It really sucks, but frequent pains in my kidneys suck even more.
